ITBA nominations for the Agricultural Panel
Ahead of the upcoming Seanad General Election on 30th January 2025, ITBA nominate the below individuals for the Agricultural Panel. The Agricultural Panel consists of 11 members and includes people having knowledge and practical experience of agriculture, allied interests and fisheries. Please see below ITBA nominations for the Agricultural Panel in the upcoming Seanad General Election. For members eligible to vote, we would be grateful if you could give them your votes.
Senator Aisling Dolan (Fine Gael), grew up working on the family suckler farm in Moore Co. Roscommon. Aisling is an experienced and trusted public representative, with a proven track record of delivery and one of the highest voting records in the current Seanad. She is currently the Seanad Fine Gael Education Spokesperson and champion apprenticeships as well as upskilling and training programmes.

Councillor Paddy O’Rourke (Fianna Fail), is an active beef farmer and owner of a small agricultural business supplying hay and straw to the equine sector.
Paddy has served as a member of Leitrim County Council since 2004 and currently holds the position of Cathaoirleach. He has gained significant experience in addressing the concerns of rural communities, having worked closely with Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue on key initiatives such as the ACRES program and the Straw Incorporation Scheme.
